The laboratory conducts research in the field of cardiac and systemic metabolism with the goal to identify physiological mechanisms, cellular signaling and gene regulation pathways that underlie cardiac energetics complications with important ramifications in heart failure, septic cardiac dysfunction and diabetic cardiomyopathy.
