EHJ letter from the EU-CardioRNA COVID-19 task force

COVID-19 infection has cardiovascular implications, both for risk and potentially long-term outcomes.

Members of the EU-CardioRNA COST Action CA17129 have set-up a CardioRNA COVID19 Task Force aiming to organize future collaborative research on cardiovascular complications in SARS-CoV-2-infected patients.

The first task force publication is now out in the European Heart Journal, where we explain our ideas, hopes and plans for global scientific collaboration and cooperation, to understand this phenomenon, monitor the lasting effects on the cardiovascular system and optimize diagnostics and care for COVID19 patients.
