On 26^th – 28^th April 2022, Dimitris Kardassis and CardioRNA management committee members hosted the second CardioRNA training school at IMBB-FORTH Foundation and University of Crete Medical School, in an amazing location between olive trees, sea and snowy mountains in Heraklion Crete.  Fourteen trainee scientists from six different countries were hosted and attended dynamic hands-on workshops including on grant proposal writing, transferable skills for work-life balance, ethics and the peer review process. The venue was the Foundation for Research and Technology of Hellas (www.forth.gr) located 10 kilometers south from the city of Heraklion, in close proximity with the University of Crete campus the the University Hospital. The final day involved attending scientific oral and poster presentations at the overlapping prestigious 2nd Olympiad in Cardiovascular Medicine meeting (www.cvolympiad.com ).
